About the GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a new regulation, where the European Commission, Council of the European Union and the European Parliament aim to enhance, strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the EU. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.
A New Data Protection Enforcement
The GDPR’s objective is to give control back to people over their personal data and to make the environment of regulation simple for local, national and international businesses by unifying this regulation. It replaces the 1995 Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46/EC). This law is directly binding and applicable.
